Given the current educational context, digital teaching competence has become a necessity, since a low level can interfere the construction of learning. Therefore, this qualitative research aims to analyze the self-perceptions and evidence of digital competence in 14 postgraduate teachers from a private university in Metropolitan Lima; and specifically, describe them for each of their areas. To achieve this, focus group, interview and evidence portfolio guides are used, instruments prepared according to the DigCompEdu framework and validated by expert judgments. From this, it is obtained that, following technical and educational criteria, the use of digital technologies allows adapting and promoting different teaching strategies, although not in all dimensions of their digital competence. In respect of professional commitment, changes are perceived and evidenced in teacher communication and collaboration, the development of transversal skills and continuous learning; on digital resources, it highlights their planning, search and characterization, as well as their management and sharing; regarding teaching and learning, the strategies used emphasize the centrality of the student, although they require better management; about evaluation and feedback, immediate, timely and personalized feedback is provided; in regard to the empowerment of students, they provide support material and adapt activities, although it is difficult to promote student engagement; on facilitating their digital competence, they propose spaces to research quality sources, generate digital content that facilitates communication, participate in collaborative activities and spaces for reflection on security and privacy, as well as solve technical incidents
