ABSTRACT The aim of this research is about the improvement of the gold extraction by a column leaching process through percolation. In this case, we will use three – factors technique, testing the leaching parameters, leaching concentration and granulometry in the extraction of gold in oxidized mineral that was found in “Sayapullo” mining company S.A. It’s located at Huancajanga village, Sayapullo town, in La Libertad city. Sandioss” leaching is shown as an alternative in the mining industry, that’s why we are using this leaching which offers a similar extraction as the traditional extraction of the gold by sodium cyanide. So we can say that this leaching can replace the Sodium Cyanide. The hypothesis of this research is: the bigger size of the particle and the higher concentration of leaching, the higher extraction of gold you have through column leaching. As a result of this, the higher concentration of leaching, the higher granulometry of gold extraction you have. The different variables have influence on the extraction of the gold, for example, the obtained results show 700 ppm extraction is higher, reaching 92.12 %, therefore, the kind of leaching affects as well. To conclude, the results of gold extraction are similar to the use of different kind of leaching. In addition, we made a comparative chart about costs between these kinds of leaching to extract gold, so you will be able to see and analyze, since this obtained result, the “Sandioss” leaching is cheaper and environmentally friendly.
