ABSTRACT The Company ABC Publishing, at present, presents / displays excessive amount of nonconforming products as a result of the offset printing of posters; Caused by two problems that are the variation of registry and color tonality. When applying as a tool for improvement, the six sigma methodology, based on the reduction of defects per million opportunities; It is intended to minimize the defective quantity. When calculating six sigma metrics and make use of the program Minitab 17 to know the situation that goes through the object of study. The improvement proposal, will reduce the amount reprocessed, that is, an average of 458 defective posters per registration of colors will be reduced to 299 and 268 to 206 respectively in color tonality. Approaching the objective of 300 and 200 units, according to the program Minitab 17. The sigma level of the process in general will increase from 3.9 to 4.1 and with respect to the problems, which before the improvement had a sigma level of 0.38% with a yield of 13.6% for color registration and a sigma level of 0.48 With a yield of 15.9%. They will increase to 2.78 with a yield of 90.3% and 2.89 with a yield of 91.9% respectively. Finally, through the economic evaluation, the economic benefits achieved will be observed; After the solutions are run. Likewise, it is recommended to keep the improvements implemented and to permanently schedule training to continue with the improvement and growth of the company.
