Abstract: La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre ansiedad y estrés académico en estudiantes universitarios de la ciudad de Cajamarca, 2021. Para la muestra, se utilizó un tipo de muestreo no probabilístico, por bola de nieve, seleccionando a 100 estudiantes universitarios del 7° al 10° ciclo académico de la ciudad de Cajamarca. La metodología fue de tipo básica y de diseño no experimental correlacional. Como instrumentos de medición se utilizó al Inventario de Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado IDARE y al Inventario de Estrés Académico SISCO. Los resultados muestran que existen niveles leves de ansiedad (45%) y niveles altos de estrés académico (37%). Asimismo, se halló una correlación directa y significativa entre la ansiedad y el estrés académico (rho: ,492; ,000). Así como, una correlación directa y significativa entre la dimensión de ansiedad estado y el estrés académico (rho: ,355; ,001), mientras que, en la dimensión ansiedad rasgo no se encontró correlación significativa (rho: ,156; ,218). Concluyendo que, a mayor presencia de ansiedad, mayor será el nivel de estrés académico en los estudiantes de la facultad de ciencias de la salud.
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between anxiety and academic stress in university students in the city of Cajamarca, 2021. For the sample, a non-probabilistic type of sampling was used, by snowball, selecting one hundred university students. from the 7th to the 10th academic cycle of the city of Cajamarca. The methodology was basic and non-experimental correlational design. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory STAI and the Inventory of Academic Stress SISCO were used as measurement instruments. The results show that there are mild levels of anxiety (45%) and high levels of academic stress (37%). Likewise, a direct and significant correlation was found between anxiety and academic stress (rho: .492; .000). As well as, a direct and significant correlation between the state anxiety dimension and academic stress (rho: .355; .001), while in the trait anxiety dimension no significant correlation was found (rho: .156; .218). Concluding, the greater the presence of anxiety, the higher the level of academic stress in the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
