The objective of the investigation was to determine the influence of the mining tailings (RM) percentages on the compressive strength in assembled concrete blocks (BCE), thereby reducing environmental contamination. For the execution of the thesis, the RM were obtained from the Quiruvilca Mine, and aggregates from the San Martín S.A. quarry, to which their respective physical tests were carried out. Furthermore, the research design was probabilistic; Regarding data collection, observation was used as a technique and the observation guide as an instrument. On the other hand, statistical inference was used to analyze the data obtained. The use of mining tailings was proposed as an alternative for the production of concrete blocks, replacing 46%, 48%, 50%, 52%, 54% and 56% of the fine aggregate. Characterization tests were carried out for the aggregates and for the mining tailings. The specimens for the compression test were cylindrical 4 “in diameter and 8“ in height. The most optimal design was found with 50% of RM replacing the fine aggregate, with values of an average resistance at 28 days of 151.41 kg / cm2. Likewise, said percentage was used for the elaboration of the BCE and, in turn, pattern blocks to make the comparison and see their resistance, giving optimal results with 50% of mining tailings, the average resistance being 83.10 kg / cm2. In conclusion, the addition of mining tailings positively influenced the compressive strength of the concrete.
