Propuesta de mejora en las áreas de producción y logística para incrementar la productividad en una empresa de muebles de melamina

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo de investigación es presentar una propuesta de mejora en las áreas de producción y logística con el fin de incrementar la productividad de una empresa de muebles de melamina. En la primera parte, el presente trabajo de investigación realiza el análisis y evaluación de las áreas de producción y logística de la empresa, haciendo énfasis en el cumplimiento de los pedidos y exigencias de sus clientes, de manera que se alcancen los objetivos que la empresa persigue. Se plantea la problemática, se establece el objetivo general y los objetivos específicos del presente trabajo de investigación, así como la hipótesis y los alcances de la misma. Se presentan también algunos antecedentes relacionados con el tema de investigación y el marco teórico que respalda el estudio. En el segundo capítulo se detalla la metodología empleada, las técnicas de obtención y análisis de la información y los datos utilizados. El análisis efectuado permitió identificar las causas que originan la baja productividad. Es así como se determina la productividad actual del proceso de producción de muebles con relación a la cantidad de piezas necesarias para su elaboración, en 77.39 piezas/hora. En este capítulo se plantea la problemática, se establece el objetivo general y los objetivos específicos del presente trabajo de investigación, así como la hipótesis y los alcances de la misma. Se presentan también algunos antecedentes relacionados con el tema de investigación y el marco teórico que respalda el estudio. Asimismo, se elaboran las herramientas de mejora para ambas áreas, así como los indicadores económicos que permiten confirmar la viabilidad económica de las propuestas. En el tercer capítulo, se presentan los resultados de la investigación, logrando un aumento promedio de la producción en 37.50% y de la productividad en 37.77%. La evaluación económica obtuvo los indicadores VAN: S/15,936.38, TIR 62.07%, PRI: 2.11 años y B/C: 1.55, demostrando la viabilidad económica de la propuesta. En el capítulo cuarto se presenta la discusión de los resultados de la investigación en comparación de lo obtenido en los antecedentes. Finalmente, se describen las conclusiones del estudio con relación a los objetivos planteados.
