ABSTRACT This thesis has the objective of applying the factors corresponding to the principles of energy saving, applied to the sustainable form of an Assistance Center for girls in the city of Trujillo. Through analysis tools, both for the collection of information, architectural cases and site analysis, it was possible to determine the design guidelines pertinent to the project, to be subsequently applied in the design process, as a result of this analysis the following indicators: With respect to the principles of energy saving, the climatic conditions of the place were taken into account, such as temperature, humidity, solar radiation and wind speed; and urban environment; These indicators are directly related to the strategies of passive heating, passive cooling and natural lighting, conditioning the location of the volumes within the land, in the same way the use of vegetation will be conditioned to the type and quantity according to the established parameters. In relation to the sustainable form, the following guidelines were determined: shape configuration (compactness, porosity, slenderness, spatiality) and envelope (study of empty, full and empty spaces). As a final result, an integral project is obtained, based on the crossing of the study variables, in order to obtain a sustainable form through the application of the principles of energy saving. Likewise, through the case analysis it was possible to establish design patterns, linked to the functionality and form, in the same way it was possible to establish the most optimal spatial configuration, taking into account the studied components, as a whole it was possible to link both variables to be applied to sustainable architecture.
