The principal objective of the current research was to increase productivity with the implementation of a planning, programming and control system for the production of metal screens, based on the JIT philosophy, in the company V&J Engineering and Construction S.A., during the year 2022. The principal problema was the low productivity, which during 2021 was 5.88 m2 of metal screen every 8 hours. In the production area due to a poor supply policy that generates insufficient stock in the warehouse in the event of unexpected events. The production line of metal screens of said company was established as a study unit as it represented the product with the highest production volume. The methodology used included direct observation of the production process of metal screens, survey of workers in the production area, time control sheet, forecast recording sheet and data analysis that was carried out with the Excel and SPSS Statistics programs. The obtained results showed us that 89% of the workers surveyed considered that the implementation of a planning and control system was necessary to achieve greater productivity performance. With the proposal to improve the MRP, productivity (Time) was increased by 112.59%; related to the indicators, effectiveness, efficiency (Time) and effectiveness (Time) increased by 9.17%, 74.36% and 91.97% respectively. The project was economically viable by obtaining an NPV of S/ 181,537.75, IRR of 25% and a Benefit/Cost of 3.3. Finally, it was concluded that the implementation of a production planning, programming and control system based on the JIT philosophy will increase the productivity of the company by validating it with the Wilcoxon statistical test with a significance level of 95%.
