The purpose of this study is to minimize the costs of stock outages through a design to improve the logistics system in a company in the field of Engineering and General Services located in the city of Cajamarca in the year 2023. The type of research of the study is applied and Quantitative, in addition, data collection instruments, an observation guide and a question questionnaire addressed to the head of logistics were used. In order to know the current diagnosis of stock ruptures, an Ishikawa diagram was made along with the aforementioned instruments to collect the necessary information. Subsequently, the improvement design was developed using logistic methodologies such as: Kraljic matrix, ABC multi-criteria classification, EOQ, SS, ROP, layout design and, in turn, the warehouse area flowchart. Finally, after applying the improved design, a global saving of S/43,946.99 nuevos soles was achieved, with a more relevant result of 5.2%, which represents the decrease in products that suffer stock outages and in turn, a total of S/16,630.64 for the cost of damaged products. In addition to this, the financial analysis was obtained once the design was applied, obtaining as results: NPV S/. 38,403.30, IRR 108%, IR S/. 4.31, concluding with this that the cost-benefit ratio is favorable.
