The objective of the project was to determine to what extent Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will reduce maintenance costs in the company. The type of research is applied, with a quantitative approach and a pre-experimental design. After the implementation of the improvements, the availability of the circular saw machine has experienced a remarkable improvement. It went from 64% to 94%. A saving of 2,336.75 soles was achieved thanks to these improvements. The OEE increased from 65% to 81%, and the yield improved significantly, from 80% to 94%. The favorable difference in economic savings is 9,620 minutes, represented in 160.33 working hours, which means a saving of 1,202.50 soles. In product quality, increasing the percentage of products that meet quality standards from 90% to 96%. Regarding the significant reduction of the total cost from 25,007.62 to 13,707.62 soles. This improvement generated savings of 11,300.00 soles by reducing total costs. As for the cost per unit, there was a reduction from 6.45 soles to 0.38 soles. The Net Present Value (NPV) calculated is 47,035.25 soles, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is a solid 80%. The Profitability Index (IR) stands at 3.61, which means that for each sol invested you will have a profit of 2.61 soles.
