The research was aimed to design a proposal for continuous improvement to optimize business processes in the company Hides R S.A.C, so that allows us to establish the necessary parameters for improving the factors that affect operating performance. The study is theoretically supported by Deming (1989, 1990), Imai, M. (1995), Krajewski and Ritzman (2002) and others like Martinez and Cegarra (2014) involving continuous improvement concepts and basic tools for proposal operational areas. It is done within the positivist paradigm, descriptive quantitative. type instruments ratios and qualitative scales were designed; demonstrating not only the existence of the relationship of the variables but the hypothesis is accepted. In the first and second chapter presents an orderly manner the problems and how we have operated in the reality of the context of the investigation; considering an orderly exposition of the relevant literature to the problem observed and the theoretical basis to explain the development of both variables. In the third and fourth chapter we expose the systematization of the hypothesis and validate the hypothesis by contrasting with the results, using the Pearson correlation coefficient to reaffirm the relationship between the two variables; relying on the accuracy of the tools and instruments used to collect information. In the fifth chapter the diagnosis of operational processes, identifying critical factors and design of the proposed Continuous Improvement for optimizing operational processes, which combines basic theoretical concepts, suggested ratios and practical activities proposed. We finished exposing and discussing the results of the instruments used for analysis of the variables, indicating the deficiencies and critical factors affecting operating performance; this forces the need and importance of including a proposal for continuous improvement based on a quality model adapted to the needs of the company and its dimensions.
