The present work has been developed taking as a reference, the manufacturing processes of the plastic cup production line in the company Polimiq Del Perú S.A.C. The company had various operational and management problems, which made it difficult to control and manage production. Considering that the company manufactures different types of products, it was decided to choose the most representative type and family of products in order to be studied in detail. The analysis was carried out throughout the production process of plastic cups; Initially, a visual inspection was carried out, in order to identify the existence of disorder, disorganization, and dirt. In addition, a study of times was carried out in order to identify the current standard times; and finally, a route diagram was made in order to identify the current route of the production process. Subsequently, the most appropriate techniques and tools were chosen, which allow mitigating and improving the identified problems and contributing to increased productivity in the plastic 5.5 oz. cup production line. After identifying the current situation and the tools and techniques to be used, their application was developed; The application of the 5'S and the new route of the productive process allowed the reduction of 13.5 minutes and 480 meters in the times and distance of the route, in addition, the application of the study of times allowed the standardization of the activities. Currently the cup production line has a standard time of 3.39 minutes per bundle and a 5'S compliance level of 23.84%, generating a low productivity of 72%; With the application of the indicated tools and techniques, the goal will be to increase productivity to at least 86%. Finally, an economic analysis was developed in order to determine the viability and economic impact of the application. The total investment of the project was S/.270,700.20, and a monetary benefit of S/.495,127.52 is expected for the total implementation; On the other hand, the NPV and IRR indicators were positive, with values of S/.1,009,870.60 and 101.33% respectively, thus confirming the profitability of the project implementation.
