The research work aimed to determine how the application of the type of material influences the structural and economic response with the ANSI / TIA 222-G Standard in the 30m Telecommunications Tower. The research is applied, the research design is quasi-experimental. The non-probability sample is a 30m triangular self-supporting tower. The procedure consisted of analyzing model 1 that corresponds to an A36 steel structure and model 2 corresponds to an A572 steel structure in the uprights and A36 steel in the rest of the structure. The analysis was carried out with the support of the MsTowerV6.20.1.11 software for the different combinations specified in the ANSI / TIA 222-G standard. The results were obtained that the displacement, torsion and deflection were lower in model 1, by 33.90%, 18.52% and 33.90% respectively to model 2. Both models comply with the maximum values allowed by the operator and the ANSI / standard. TIA 222-G. Thus we have that in model 2 the reactions and weight were lower than in model 1. The weight of the tower in model 2 was reduced by 16% representing a lower cost. Determining that model 2 is a better technical and economic alternative.
