In Civil Engineering, the use of new technologies is essential to be at the forefront in the field of construction, with the aim of obtaining the required results, at the lowest cost, at the shortest execution time and generating social and environmental impacts at a minimum, with the same or better quality. That is why this Research Thesis is the starting point in providing information and how to execute one of the many Trenchless Techologies, called Pipe Bursting. The research design is descriptive - comparative, the research approach is quantitative, this work too includes a non-experimental and transveral research. For the aforementioned, the main objective of this research work is to determine the difference between the conventional method and pipe bursting method, in the rehabilitation of the sewerage system in the city of Cajamarca, comparing it qualitatively, in the following aspects: direct costs, execution time and social and environmental impacts. Obtaing as the main conclusion that the Pipe Bursting Method generates significant differences, compared to the conventional method, minimizing social and environmental impacts and reducing costs and execution times.
