Síndrome de burnout en docentes universitarios de las carreras de psicología y obstetricia de una universidad de San Juan De Lurigancho, 2020

Abstract

La presente investigación es cuantitativa de corte transversal descriptivo – comparativo, tiene como objetivo identificar el nivel de Síndrome de Burnout en docentes universitarios de Psicología y Obstetricia de una universidad de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2020. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el cuestionario Maslach Burnout Inventory que se aplicó a 33 docentes, siendo 20 de Psicología y 13 de Obstetricia. Se obtuvo como resultados un nivel bajo con el 75.8%, en el nivel medio se obtuvo el 21.2 % y en el nivel alto se presentó el 3%. Con respecto, a la dimensión de Agotamiento emocional, se identificó que los docentes muestran un nivel bajo que representa el 57.6%. Asimismo, en la Despersonalización se evidencia un nivel bajo con el 84.8%. Contrario a las dimensiones anteriores, en Realización personal el 97% de los docentes presentan un nivel alto. En torno a las comparaciones realizadas por sexo y carrera no se encontraron diferencias significativas, sin embargo en relación al tiempo de trabajo se halló que quienes tienen menos de 5 años laborando presentan mayores niveles de Burnout. En conclusión, los docentes universitarios de Psicología y Obstetricia presentan en general Síndrome de Burnout en un nivel bajo.

The present research is quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive-comparative, and aims to identify the level of Burnout Syndrome in university professors of Psychology and Obstetrics at a university in San Juan de Lurigancho, 2020. For data collection, the Maslach questionnaire was obtained. Burnout Inventory that was applied to 33 teachers, being 20 of Psychology and 13 of Obstetrics. As a result, a low level was obtained with 75.8%, in the medium level 21.2% was obtained and in the high level 3% were presented. Regarding the dimension of emotional exhaustion, it was identified that teachers show a low level that represents 57.6%. Likewise, in Depersonalization a low level is evidenced with 84.8%. Contrary to the previous dimensions, in Personal Fulfillment, 97% of the teachers present a high level. Regarding the comparisons made by sex and career, no significant differences were found, however, in relation to working time, it was found that those who have worked for less than 5 years have higher levels of Burnout. In conclusion, university professors of Psychology and Obstetrics generally present Burnout Syndrome at a low level.
