The objective of this study is to reduce the costs of supplies purchased by the Real Club de Lima Association. This is because there is the possibility of achieving reductions in costs greater than 10%. To achieve this cost reduction, a study was carried out on the behavior of the demand and the costs of the supplies during the year 2017, in order to take it as a basis for analysis. Then, the methodology of the Deming Cycle was developed to define the problem, state the objective, quantify the goal, discover the root cause, propose the solution, execute the solution, verify the achievement of the goal, and control the new purchasing process through an indicator card. In the process of improvement, the ABC classification criterion is used on the items in order to give maximum priority in the control of the new purchasing process on the items of group A, which represent 80% of the expenses. The goal was to achieve a minimum saving of 10% and a reduction in costs of S /. 115,153.73, which means a 12.25% saving. That is to say, the established goal would be achieved. Finally, it is established that the improvement project implemented will be highly beneficial given that the cost-benefit ratio reaches a value of 20.29.
