ABSTRACT This thesis was conducted at the company Cartavio Rum Company S.A.C. because currently had high operating costs due to mismanagement Production and storage problems its various products and / or packaging This paper has been prepared in order to reduce current operating costs of the company Cartavio Rum Company SAC, for it has been proposed to improve the current situation of the Production through a proposal for improvement in the management of material requirements Production and capacity (MRP II), assessment procedure Suppliers, Construction of a new warehouse and personnel training. To carry out this improvement proposal, first diagnosis of the current situation of the process of the Production was realized that the main problems that increase operating costs are not having proper planning of production, lack of materials and inputs when production requires, lack of procedures suppliers, lack of storage, lack of training. In addition, currently he identified evaluation and monitoring of suppliers which created that deliveries arrive with delays that paralyze production did; and finally the high storage costs because they have to pay rent for the lack of space. For the development of the proposed improvement was made using the following methods and tools: MRP II, procedures for supplier evaluation and training, which will help improve the management of production. These proposed improvements achieved in boxes increase sales by 20% (54869 cases), sales by 35% (s / 30, 822,058.00.); it was possible to reduce the number of workers 69-54 (annual savings of s / 28,500.00.) and saved storage 0 soles; all this with the proposal of MRP II and construction of the new store. To conclude, a financial economic evaluation yielding a NPV of S / was performed. 1 088.484 and an IRR of 68.1%, indicating that the project is profitable.
