The present investigation was developed with the objective of determining to what extent the productivity of the delay holder production line is increased by means of method engineering in a company in the metalworking sector, Lima; For this, it was necessary to study the dimensions of standard time, productive time and quantity produced. In this sense, the research methodology corresponding to the applied type, quantitative approach, explanatory level and pre-experimental design, while the sample for the study was determined in the production of delay holders in 12 months in the company, being 6 of the previous scenario and 6 of the later one and for the data collection the techniques of direct observation and documentary analysis were used. The results show that method engineering reduces the standard time in the production line given that in the previous scenario a previous mean (3:10:32) was obtained greater than in the later scenario (2:34:24), it also increases the productive time with a previous average of 79.73% lower than in the later scenario of 87.62% and increases the quantity produced with an average before 3.57 less than in the later scenario 4.89; additionally, the statements are verified through the significance of the Student's t test applied the previous and subsequent scenarios, which were 0.005; 0.004 and 0.009 <0.05, respectively. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of method engineering increases the productivity of the delay holder production line in a metalworking company, Lima.
