With the arrival of the pandemic caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus, businesses found themselves in the search and application of new strategies, models and schemes that allow them to continue with the sales process without losing the quality of their services or products. . Within this context, the microinsurance sector was affected and it was observed that there is a significant gap between the contracting of said microinsurance and the potential existing demand. Which forced the sector to adapt, especially in terms of digitization. The main objective of this study was to determine the way in which microinsurance placements have evolved in an insurance and reinsurance company in Metropolitan Lima in times of Covid-19 during 2020. For this, a descriptive investigation was proposed , qualitative, nonexperimental and where it was used as instruments for gathering information from interviews and observation files. With the results obtained, it was concluded that; a) the volume of microinsurance sales increased in the country within the context of the Covid-19 disease pandemic due to the affordable prices of the product; b) there was an increase in the preventive culture and awareness about having microinsurance, mainly due to the change in people's lifestyles due to the pandemic; and c) it was estimated that the next few years would see a continuous growth in sales and microinsurance coverage in the country.
