The purpose of this research work was to determine the relationship that exists between academic procrastination and the gender of students of virtual courses of the psychology career of a Private University of Lima, 2020. This is a study with a quantitative approach, design not experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive-correlational level. The sample consisted of 200 students, which was selected by non-probabilistic convenience sampling, being 75% women and 25% men. The instrument used was the adaptation to the Peruvian context of the Academic Procrastination scale (EPA), which consists of 16 items and two dimensions: academic self-regulation (9 items) and Postponement of activities (7 items). As a result, a direct relationship of 0.245 of Spearman's Rho was found between academic procrastination and the gender of those evaluated from virtual courses of the psychology career of a Private University of Lima, 2020. Determining that the female gender tends to procrastinate more than the male gender, where it is noted that 29% of the female gender has a high level of procrastination, while in the male gender low levels of procrastination predominate.
