The objective of the research work was to improve processes through the theory of restrictions to increase productivity in the production line in the footwear the company Grupo Carusso S.A.C., Trujillo - Peru. This work arises from the problems observed in the shutdown and assembly operation, which had the longest production time with an average of 50 minutes per pair and 33.33 min / pair, this great time was caused by not having identified the standard times of manufacturing and the poor distribution of activities. In addition to this, the storing area had a traditional work system that limited the increase in productivity. As a consequence of these factors, it is that they cannot increase production and that they are unable to satisfy the demand of their customers. The work consisted in the elaboration of time studies and line balance in the bottle necks, additionally a new work system was implemented in the packing area that consisted of carrying out the production process in module, which had as main objective to increase the production. Finally, the economic data was evaluated and it was concluded that the improvement was economically feasible, when applying the proposed work method in the storing and assembly areas, a reduction in production time was obtained from 50 minutes to 15.53 minutes / pair, obtaining an increase of 68.94% in the storing area and the assembly area, the production time was reduced from 33.33 min / pair to 22.39 min / pair obtaining an increase of 32.82%, the improvements are reflected in the economic evaluation with a benefit from S /. 24,213.50 referring to NPV, IRR of 479%, in addition to a Cost-benefit of S /. 24.3 net for each S /. 1 initial investment applying the modified method.
