The main objective of this thesis is the Development of a Mobile Application that allows the detection and suggestion of treatments for diseases in corn crops using foundations, techniques and algorithms of digital image processing, as well as the Open CV 3.1 library. It is intended to provide a versatile solution to the detection of diseases in corn crops through an app, following the PDI phases, starting with the capture and acquisition of images in which the camera of a mobile phone was used, then the pre-processing, the noise reduction technique was implemented: Gaussian filter, this phase facilitated the segmentation, in which the detection of edges was applied by the Canny algorithm, followed by the description phase in the which was used the technique of description of regions according to their area, finally in the recognition was applied the technique of theoretical decision for recognition. The Mobile Application implemented was worked in a controlled environment and in a real environment, also the corn crops that were analyzed were from the Hacienda Roque Angulo in the province of Ascope.
