The objective of the research was to establish the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and attitudes about the contraceptive method of UC in students of the I cycle of the obstetrics career of the Universidad Privada del Norte in the period 2020 - II. The study had a quantitative approach, it was basic and observational, with a cross sectional data measurement. The research design was non-experimental of a correlational type. The technique used for this research was the survey and as an instrument a questionnaire composed of 35 questions was used, the same one that was applied to a sample of 43 students. The results showed that, the preponderant level of knowledge about the contraceptive method, the T of Cu, was medium (67.44%), the attitude taken towards the contraceptive method the T of Cu, in the great majority was regular (67.44%), with a A significant percentage of students with a bad attitude (23.26%), in the same way, a significant negative correlation was established between the study variables. It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes about the contraceptive method, the T of UC in students of the I cycle of the obstetrics career of the Private University of the North in the period 2020 - II.
