The objective of this research was to determine if there are differences in the self-perception of filio-parental violence in secondary school adolescents from a public and private educational institution in Los Olivos district. The type of research used was the descriptive-comparative and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 315 students from secondary of both sexes. The Child-to-Parent Aggression Questionnaire was used, which presented acceptable levels of validity and reliability. According to the analysis of the Mann-Whitney U test, it was found that there are significant differences in the self-perception of filio-parental violence, being the private school where there are higher levels of Filio-Parental Violence-FPV. In addition, a higher level of filio-parental violence towards the mother figure is exercised at a moderate level (50.5%). Likewise, it is pointed out that there is a significant difference in the self-perception of the Physical FPV (U = 10052.5; p <0.05) and Psychological FPV (U = 7957.5; p <0.01) towards the mother; whereas in the father there are only differences in the Psychological FPV (U = -2.4725, p <0.05), but not in the Physical FPV (U = 10126.5, p> 0.05). Regarding self-perception of VFP according to sex, no significant differences were found between male adolescents or women who exercised VFP to the mother (U = 11508.5, p> 0.05) or to the father (U = 12040; p> 0.05).
