The objective of this research is to design a warehouse management system in the company Cosapi Minería in Marcona - Ica to improve the availability of inputs for heavy machinery. For this, a situational diagnosis of the warehouse area of Cosapi Minera Marcona - Ica has been carried out, using a type of descriptive application research. The data are collected using the qualitative research method, instruments used: direct observation, surveys and interviews, reflected in files, survey sheet and interview sheet respectively. The sample of the present investigation represents the 4 sub areas within the warehouse of the company Cosapi Minera Marcona. It has been elucidated that the company has time and quality problems in dealing with input orders made by its customers, among which this poor distribution of stocks, problems of registration of entries and exits, are most widespread, there is no management software warehouse, little training on correct use of formats and control methods. For the solution to the problems caused by the low availability of supplies, describe a storage management system based on the Lean Logistics methodology for optimizing the delivery of heavy machinery supplies. Making a diagnosis with the Lean methodology, the result is the service time of input orders and the operating cost per order made by the Cosapi Minera Marcona warehouse, the results with a capacity utilization of 54.54% for input in warehouse and for input to ask suppliers 72.03%. After a future implementation of Lean Logistics, the warehouse's productive capacity would increase the operating cost of each serious order to 100% by 13.47 soles, that is, an operating cost saving per order of 52.35%.
