The main purpose of this research was to establish the relationship between organizational climate and job satisfaction of staff of “San Marcos“ Public Secondary school in the province of San Marcos, 2014. In the theoretical context some background at international and national level, as well as theoretical basis related to organizational climate and job satisfaction are presented. This research is a descriptive - correlational study. The population and sample consisted of 60 workers (managers, teachers and administrative staff) of “San Marcos“ secondary school to whom were applied questionnaires about Organizational Climate and Job Satisfaction respectively, previously validated through Alpha Cronbach with a reliability of 0.811 in relation to Organizational Climate compared to 0.867 regarding to Job Satisfaction. Besides, further validation was also performed by a professional expert in research. The analysis of the results allowed us to establish a significant relationship between the variables under study with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0,420. Being the correlation significant at 0, 01 level. Moreover, we noticed that the staff has a high degree of identification with the institution and autonomy for their educational work. Highlights well the knowledge of the organizational structure of the institution under study. It was also observed that the perception of doing something valuable for society is shared almost by all the staff and their participation in the determination of organizational objectives is high. However, the perception of a pleasant working environment is not shared by all the staff and the degree of recognition of job performance is low. Finally, based on the results, recommendations were formulated for improving the organizational climate and job satisfaction of the institution under study.
