This thesis entitled “The limits of the employer's power of direction when applying the remote work modality in metropolitan Lima in the years 2020-2021“ shows a critical analysis regarding the new work modalities that have been implemented today, as a result of the pandemic generated worldwide - by the COVID-19 virus and its variants, specifically remote work. This situation accelerated the application of remote work in Peru, with the consequences of directly affecting the Rights of Workers. The issue is approached from a broad perspective regarding remote work, focusing on the limits of the employer's power of direction, since there would be an inadequate application of labor legislation to prevent and control abuses by the employer. In this sense, graphic research materials from surveys on remote work, doctrinal examination and expert opinion were taken as research materials; using the analytical method. Various instruments were developed to collect such data, such as fact sheets, interviews, tables and statistical graphics, obtaining as a result whether the growing use of technology and the new ways of working as a consequence of it, are also accompanied by labor standards. suitable for one of these new ways of working avoiding violating Labor Rights.
