ABSTRACT This thesis titled “Characterization of the Mineralogical Site of the Murcielago Vein to Determine the Type of Reservoir in the Paredones Mine, Province of San Pablo Cajamarca Region“, aims to characterize the mineralogical site in the Paredones mine; Also identify mineralization trends in the Murciélago vein, perform the topographic survey in detail, and identify the lithological and structural control of the Murciélago vein. The Occidental 2 mining company is interested in exploiting this vein mainly because preliminary studies determined high levels of mineralization. The hypothesis of the present thesis is that the mineralogical site of the Paredones mine influences in the determination of the type of deposit. The conclusions of the thesis are: • The mineralization tendency in the bat vein is defined by NW - SE and ENE bearing structures; With dips are above 60 °. • According to the topographic survey, the structure of the socavón that houses the Murciélago vein does not have the right conditions for a safe mining operation, since the width and height of the socavón are only appropriate for an artisanal mining. In terms of its gradient, it is considered to be suitable for exploitation and haulage. • Structural lithological control is defined by mineralizing hydrothermal solutions produced during the intrusion stage and deposited in pre-existing tensile fractures, forming the ores of the ore consisting of a pyritic quartz, pyrite and encasing rock fill, and varying amounts And to a lesser extent of sphalerite, galena and scopicans chalcopyrite constituting the loss of economic yields. • The method of exploitation to be used in the Murciélago vein is by Cut and Fill according to the physical and mineralogical characteristics of the vein.
