The present investigation has as its main guideline the drilling and blasting stage, since the continuous operations of this depend on its results, which must be efficient to achieve a minimum cost without neglecting the safety of the personnel, therefore the main objective of the report is to reduce the damage to the rock mass by applying the principle of particle peak velocity, thus optimizing the blasting stage, making it a controlled process and at the same time reducing the incidence of minor, permanent and fatal accidents. Given this, in order to demonstrate the hypothesis, data collection techniques were carried out in the field, observations and measurements during the entire blasting stage within the work XC 9179-SE Veta Cachaco 2T-1 Nv. 2420, Minera Tauro S.A.C. It is concluded then, that the sum of the delay time between the explosive charge must be greater than or equal to 1 second so that the peak particle velocity, which is directly proportional to it, is not greater than 40.41 mm/s and does not generate greater damage. to the rock mass.
