ABSTRACT Air pollution becomes a more serious problem every day, as it affects the health of people and also deteriorates the environment, lead how atmospheric pollutant is transported by prevailing wind currents and dispersed in the atmosphere by the movements of the air and turbulence. The concentration of atmospheric lead in the City of Cajamarca is a subject of great interest since the vehicle fleet is considered as the main point of emission, in recent years it has been increasing considerately as a product of concern in the population. In this thesis we make use of an Urban / Regional model, using the integration of models and databases, we have worked with the data of monitoring of concentration of lead of the years 2 015, 2016 and 2017, provided by the Sub Management of Protection and Environmental Control of the Provincial Municipality of Cajamarca, and the historical meteorological data provided by the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (SENAMHI), with which it has allowed us to elaborate a dispersion model of the concentration of atmospheric lead and the direction to the which moves at ground level. It was analyzed if there is a relationship between lead and wind behavior in the aforementioned years, in this analysis statistical methods were applied to find the daily / annual average, the directions of the wind and its speed; what was identified if there was some kind of predominant direction. Therefore, the wind directly influences the dispersion and concentration of Lead in the atmosphere of the city of Cajamarca; The relationship between wind speed and the concentration of Lead is inversely proportional since at lower wind speeds the concentration is higher, while the relationship with the dispersion is directly proportional since at higher speeds there is greater dispersion. It was analyzed that the annual average of the Environmental Quality Standards is 0.5 μg / m3 and the studied parameters do not exceed the annual averages and are below the ECA. Therefore, it was identified that there are factors that directly influence the concentration of lead in the atmosphere such as strikes (tire burning, tear gas bombs), forest fires, large-scale constructions, political campaigns (burning of fireworks) and small factories. brick. Key words: lead dispersion modeling, prevailing atmosphere, winds and direction.
