ABSTRACT A descriptive study of optimization of blasting agents was conducted to monitor and / or mitigate the toxic gases generated to be detonated. Blowing agents are described and promptly unwanted toxic gases generated by detonating. In this research work they have been analyzed some factors that generate toxic gases, and has been used mathematical model postulated by Melvin Cook and Alan Bauer doctors to determine the oxygen balance and optimum heat blast blasting agents theoretically gaining control and / or mitigation of such toxic gases, and the effectiveness and efficiency in rock blasting. The development of the topics contained in 6 chapters and corresponding optimization results in oxygen balance, heat of explosion and gaseous products desired. The importance of studying captured in this investigation, is based on the fact reach a point of equilibrium, in which the use of mining blasting agents, is an operation with the least possible risk to workers in their practice, and minimally impact the surrounding environment.
