Abstract: RESUMEN
ABSTRACT The present research had as objective to determine the relationship between the work climate and the organizational commitment in workers of Hospital I La Esperanza, in Trujillo. For these purposes, a type of non-experimental study was considered, whose design was cross-sectional cross-section. The population was made up of 84 workers from the Hospital I La Esperanza who in turn formed the sample through a type of probabilistic sampling for convenience. The instruments used were the Social Climate at Work Scale (WES) to measure the work climate and the Organizational Engagement Scale of Meyer and Allen, both adapted to the city of Trujillo, whose psychometric properties were adequate. Finally, it was concluded that the levels of general labor atmosphere of the workers of the hospital I La Esperanza, is in an average level (82.1%), while according to their dimensions, in relationships they show an average level (82.1%), In stability an average level (67.9%) and finally in self-actualization, an average level (56%). Likewise, the organizational commitment of the workers of Hospital I La Esperanza is at an average level (61.9%). Likewise, in its affective dimensions, an average level predominates (64.3%), the continuous dimension has an average level (63.1%) and in normative an average level (63.1%). Regarding the correlation, it was estimated that there is a practically null correlation between the organizational commitment and the dimensions of the work climate: relations, stability and self-realization. KEYWORDS: labor climate, organizational commitment, correlational, transversal.
