Health sciences students are faced with the academic demands and demands of their profession; not having an adequate management of their emotions can lead to psychological problems, hence the relevance of appropriate developing their emotional skills. For the present investigation, the objective was to identify the levels of emotional intelligence of the university students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of a Private University of Lima Center. Based on a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional approach. The TMMS-24 scale was used, applied to 302 students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, where females (81.8%) and the Psychology career (51%) predominated. As a result, it was obtained that 73.8% of the students positioned themselves at a medium level; likewise, for the dimensions, it is observed that the highest percentage is at the medium level (perception 70.2%, understanding 54.6% and regulation 60.3%). It is concluded that the participants have an adequate development of emotional skills, managing to identify, understand and manage their emotions. Finally, no differences were found with respect to gender and age.
