During 2019, the study was developed based on the analysis of clay soil samples on the land of the Las Vegas Plaza Shopping Center, located in the Puente Piedra district, Lima province and Lima department, aiming to demonstrate the influence of the stabilization of clay soils with the addition of sodium chloride in its mechanical properties. For variable 1, stabilization with the addition of sodium chloride, the quantitative approach was used with the influence of Comte (1857), with a trend from the works of Bacon (1626) and Kant (1804). Considering that the quantitative approach arises from positivism, whose object describes, infers and generalizes. Similarly, for variable 2 mechanical properties of a clay soil, the hypothetical deductive approach was considered according to Strike and Posner, (1989). The scientific hypothesis has been formulated: The stabilization with the addition of Sodium Chloride does influence the mechanical properties of a clay soil. Methodologically, based on the research questions, the approach is quantitative, for which (Niño, 2011) points out, “this type of research has to do with quantity and, therefore, its main means is measurement and calculation” (p.25). Likewise, the scope of the research is explanatory, which according to (Arias O, 2012) shows that the changes made in the independent variable have an impact on the dependent variable, and in the same way, the The research design is experimental, of the quasi-experimental type, since the observation of the object of study and manipulation of variables prevailed to verify or demonstrate facts based on the results obtained (Martinez & Benitez, 2016). The method developed is of the hypothetical-deductive type, because tentative answers to the research questions were inferred from the hypotheses raised, which were contrasted through inferential statistical tests. The sampling was non-probabilistic, for convenience, developing based on the National Building Regulations, Chapter 2, the realization in the field of 9 pits in order to obtain data on the type of clay that is part of the land, from which the resulting amount of 48 test tubes, in this sense, the data was obtained through experimental observation techniques and the application of calibrated equipment for the development of experimental tests. The results of the study were carried out through the inferential analysis of the specific hypotheses using quantitative tests of linear, quadratic and cubic regression analysis, where the (ANOVA) will be obtained, with which the validity of the mathematical model was established, determining the The influence that stabilization with the addition of sodium chloride has on the mechanical properties of a clay soil, thus answering the problems and verifying the fulfillment of the objectives. It was concluded that according to the normal table of column sig. Shapiro-Wilk, where all the values are greater than 0.05, for the dependent variable, in that sense the Mechanical properties: support capacities (CBR), unconfined compression, compaction and resistance to shear stress follow a Normal distribution.
