This basic, correlational, and non-experimental research explores theoretical approaches suggesting that the ways in which job tasks are performed, the work environment, and the organization itself constitute determining factors in ensuring the well-being of employees in all its forms. The inability to effectively manage these factors may have repercussions on the health of workers. The aim of this study was determining the relationship between dimensions of psychosocial risk factors and occupational stress among employees of a financial institution of Trujillo in 2021. A sample of 62 employees was included in the study. The Istas21 Questionnaire was employed to assess psychosocial risk factors, and the WHO-ILO Occupational Stress Scale was used to measure occupational stress. The instruments demonstrated reliabilities of 0.722 and 0.853, respectively, based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data were processed and analyzed using SPSS 22.0, employing the Spearman correlation coefficient. The study found a significant relationship between psychosocial risk factors and occupational stress, as direct correlations (psychological demands, compensation, and double presence) and indirect correlations (active work and skill development, social support in the company, and leadership quality) were obtained between each dimension and occupational stress. The study concludes that increased exposure to psychosocial risk factors in employees leads to higher levels of occupational stress, emphasizing the need to promote and implement actions that enable the control of these factors for the well-being of workers' occupational health.
