The objective of this research was to determine the impact of the application of a SMED strategy on the productivity of Granite & Marble Solutions Peru EIRL 2019. The research was applied from a pre-experimental design. The population - sample was made up of the company's projects in the periods January - April 2019 (pre-test) and June-September 2019 (post-test). The instrument used was the document review sheet of productivity in the study period, observation sheet of the melamine manufacturing process. Regarding the level of productivity before the implementation of a SMED strategy, this was 12% below that expected in both personnel and productive teams, this translated into a 38% reduction in expected profit. Regarding the productivity factors in the production process, it was found that many areas due to the nature of the business cannot be used constantly so this machinery and personnel is unproductive, on the other hand, melamine suppliers process it (they cut, glue edges, perforate) for a very comfortable price when buying the raw material. Regarding the design and implementation of the SMED tool in Granite & Marble Solutions Peru EIRL, to avoid delays in job change, it was proposed to outsource the process of cutting, gluing of edges, perforations) when buying the material, eliminating unproductiveness of personnel and machinery. Regarding the comparison and validation of productivity after the application of the SMED tool in Granite & Marble Solutions Peru EIRL, the project time was reduced from 30.85 hours to 6.35 hours, on the other hand, the staff was reduced from 15 before the project to 11 after project. Regarding the profit per man hour, this increased from S /. 207.7 to S /. 464.8, that is, it increased by 123%. The average monthly profit per project and the profit per employee between 2018 (before the tool) and 2019 (after the application of the tool) were compared by means of the t-Student test, finding statistical difference between the profit before and the utility later, which validates our research hypothesis that the application of the SMED strategy increased productivity.
