One of the best-known problems when carrying out the structural analysis of a building with confined bricklaying is how long and iterative the calculation processes are. For this reason, in this research, the main objective was the use of Artificial Neural Networks to develop a model that classifies and identifies certain behaviors to obtain the same result, but in a faster and easier way. To meet the objective, firstly houses were analyzed using commercial structural analysis software. This previous step served to generate the training matrix with input data and output data for the learning of the Artificial Neural Network (ANN). To obtain the programming code, an adequate selection of parameters to be used was made so that the approximation made by the ANN is correct, for this purpose a methodology based on simplified mathematical processes developed in the Python programming software was used. When the combination of correct parameters was obtained, the modeling was developed in the commercial structural analysis software for the case study of this investigation, which was a house that was conventionally analyzed following the guidelines indicated in the Standard E070. Finally, distortions between stories were obtained and these were compared with the ones obtained with the ANN and thus, it was demonstrated that the use of ANIN can be an alternative for the calculation of distortion values between stories in a building with confined bricklaying
