The objective of this thesis is to determine the best economic alternative between a multilayer pipe system PEX AL PEX and the PVC pipe system for the installation of drinking water in the multifamily building “El Álamo“, in which 2 choices were considered for the subsequent execution of the work, the first is to use the PVC pipe system throughout the installation and the second is the PEX AL PEX multilayer pipe system, said work is in full construction and a comparative analysis at the of costs, installation times, construction processes, advantages and influence of the realization of the metering and unit cost for the determination of the use of a favorable and effective system. The unit cost and budget analysis is based on the information provided by the pipe manufacturing company. In the aspect of installation time, yields such as production ratios will be used by entering data from other works carried out in both cases by the company EUJ ARQUITECTOS & CONSULTORES SAC, in addition to this in the labor force it will be analyzed through comparative tables, the appearance, quality and characteristics of the materials under investigation.
