The present investigation is focused on evaluating the levels of environmental noise in the main commercial areas of the Chancay district, Huaral Province. The measurements were carried out following the procedure of the National Environmental Noise Monitoring Protocol, identifying 8 points for noise measurement in the months of January, February and March of the year 2022, selected after the pre-sampling of 12 points, using the road methodology. Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk normality tests, Spearman's and Pearson's Rho correlations, analysis of variance test (ANOVA) and linear regression test were applied, all with a significance level of 0.05. Determining that of the 8 points, 6 of them (R-01, R-02, R-03, R-05, R-07 and R-08) presented high noise levels with a range of 58.9 and 73.6 dB, reaching an average of 69.3 dB, exceeding the maximum values allowed according to the ECA's for noise. Therefore, the hypothesis that qualifies environmental noise levels as high in these commercial areas is accepted. It is concluded that through correlation tests, if there is a direct significant relationship between linear mobile sources (0.009<0.05), zonal fixed sources (0.006<0.05) and environmental noise levels in the main commercial areas of the Chancay district.
