ABSTRACT In the field of the manufacture of plastics, high-level technologies are currently operating, generally there are approximately ineffective advances, which causes that these technologies do not operate with the expected effectiveness. In this report, which is focused on the field of plastics, directly to the shrinkage of said injection mold. Since according to Carlos Sabino (1999), defines us that an applied research as one that is oriented to solve all kinds of problems in an existing practical way. That is, the objective of this study is to propose two tools to identify the problem, in order to minimize the appearance of PP (polypropylene) waste, in said production of the drainer, product of the mold, to improve said efficiency of our plant, the optimization of said productivity and quality of that product, in the machines of an injection mold, applying the methodology PVHA - VSM (Mapping of Value Flow) An intensive search was made of validated scientific articles found in Scielo, Universia and Dyna, of which 10 They are subject to the productive issue in industrial areas, like others that did not opt for our announced methodologies. The Crockery - Drainer product was studied for 30 days to analyze the current factors and variables that should be considered in said improvement for each unit injected. Therefore, we have obtained a reduction reduction reduction of 5.7% to 1.5% in production and favors us with a gain of S /. 30,214..
