ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to determine the impact in the profitability of Extintores Santa Rosa S.R.L. company, of applying an improvement proposal about process management in the fire extinguisher refilling activities, since they represent almost 80% of the company’s gross annual revenue. Through the fishbone diagram, 6 root causes were identified and then loses were estimated in 15’498.57 peruvian soles per year. This loses are mainly caused by non-productive time used in correcting non-conformities and an inappropriate logistic management. In this context, the improvement proposal is aimed to apply engineering tools like Job Description, Induction and Training Processes, y Written Work Procedures in order to decrease the number of non conformities. About logistic and warehouse management, the proposed tools are Materials location, coding and classification, and control as well as setting an Inner Product Requirement Procedure and join it to a Monthly Material Requirement Planning in order to foresee the amount of raw materials to purchase. By applying the tools mantiened above, the Project got a VNA VAN of S/ 10,322.64 and an internal ratio of return of 83,47% in a payback period of 1 year 1 month and 20 days and a benefit-Cost ratio of 1,29.
