Abstract: La presente investigación se realizó en Cajamarca, para la obtención del grado académico de título profesional en Ingeniería Civil por la Universidad Privada del Norte. Dicha investigación tuvo por finalidad determinar la vulnerabilidad sísmica de viviendas de albañilería del barrio Urubamba, Cajamarca 2019.
Para la realización de la tesis se utilizó: un diseño no experimental-aplicado-transversal; método del índice de vulnerabilidad sísmica propuesto por Benedetti y Petrini, 1984; el muestreo fue no probabilístico por juicio de los autores; la recolección de datos se realizó con la técnica de la observación y el instrumento utilizado fue la ficha o guía de observación.
El problema es que en Cajamarca las viviendas de albañilería son construidas con baja asistencia técnica, uso de materiales y agregados de baja calidad y existen zonas de cimentación con pendientes elevadas que influyen en el nivel de la vulnerabilidad sísmica en las edificaciones de albañilería. Asimismo, respondiendo a la pregunta de la investigación se determinó que la vulnerabilidad sísmica de las viviendas de albañilería en el barrio Urubamba de Cajamarca es; media a baja en un 59%, media a alta en el 39% y alta en 2% de las viviendas.
En conclusión, en la investigación se logró determinar la vulnerabilidad sísmica de viviendas de albañilería del distrito de Cajamarca descrito líneas arriba, se consiguió clasificar los parámetros en la investigación según el método propuesto de Benedetti-Petrini 1984, se realizó un mapa de vulnerabilidad sísmica de las viviendas de la zona en estudio que servirá como lineamiento para la toma de decisiones de los habitantes de ese sector y solicitar soporte a instituciones locales para construcciones con asistencia técnica.
This research was carried out in Cajamarca, to obtain the academic degree of professional title in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Privada del Norte. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the seismic vulnerability of masonry homes in the Urubamba neighborhood, Cajamarca 2019. To carry out the thesis, the following were used: a non-experimental-applied-cross-sectional design; seismic vulnerability index method proposed by Benedetti and Petrini, 1984; the sampling was non-probabilistic according to the authors' judgment; data collection was carried out with the observation technique and the instrument used was the observation record or guide. The problem is that in Cajamarca masonry houses are built with low technical assistance, use of low-quality materials and aggregates, and there are foundation areas with steep slopes that influence the level of seismic vulnerability in confined masonry buildings. Likewise, responding to the research question, it was determined that the seismic vulnerability of the masonry houses in the Urubamba neighborhood of Cajamarca is; medium to low in 68% of the dwellings, medium to high in 30% of the dwellings and high in 2% of the dwellings. In conclusion, in the investigation it was possible to determine the seismic vulnerability of masonry houses of the Cajamarca district described above, it was possible to classify the parameters in the investigation according to the proposed method of Benedetti-Petrini 1984, a seismic vulnerability map of the homes in the area under study that will serve as a guideline for decision-making by the inhabitants of that sector and request support from local institutions for construction with technical assistance.
