The present research work aimed to improve inventory and storage management in a food concession company to reduce logistics costs. The research is of an applied type, pre-experimental design and with a quantitative approach. Following the implementation of the 5s, the audit score rose from 45 to 87 points. Likewise, the implementation of the 5S brought positive advantages to the company, since the collaborators were a fundamental part and their opinions were considered in the development. The products were classified, of which category A represents 31% of the total number of articles, having a participation of 80% of the total sales. Category B products represent 29% of the total items and have a participation of 15% of the total of and finally, the products of category C represent 40% of the total of items having only a participation of 5% of the total sales. The Kanban system was implemented, where three colors of cards are evident: green, yellow and red. As a result of the implementation of the tools, it was possible to reduce the inventory time from 6 days to 5 days, inventory aging from 14.54% to 12.02%, cost of maintaining the warehouse from 76.28 Soles / m2 to 70 soles / m2, cost storage per unit from 1.90 soles / unit to 1.20 soles / unit and finally, logistics costs from 3.53% to 2.3%. The cash flow analysis was carried out, where a NPV of S /. 132,190.86 and an IRR of 114%, which indicates that the project is viable. The IR of the project is S /. 5.45, which means that for each sun invested there is a profit of S /.4.45. The investment payback period is 1 year.
