Abstract: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal determinar el tratamiento informativo del lead en las noticias de la sección política de los diarios de Lima Metropolitana 2020. Se aplicó un enfoque cualitativo y un diseño de estudio de caso, donde se analizaron 81 noticias de la sección política de diarios impresos. A través de una ficha de observación se estudiaron la forma, contenido y tipología del lead. Los resultados evidenciaron que el lead no ha sufrido muchas modificaciones y logró determinar que los redactores optan por responder solo de tres a cuatro preguntas clásicas y que la tendencia es que el primer párrafo tenga una extensión de 31 a 40 palabras, utilizando más el lead de compendio, que es más ligero y fácil de redactar. En conclusión, el lead cumple con su objetivo principal que es condensar lo más importante del hecho noticioso, solo posee cambios ligeros que se adecuan a los nuevas tendencias.
The main objective of this research is to determine the informative treatment of the lead in the news of the political section of Lima’s newspapers 2020. A qualitative approach and a case study design were applied in which 81 news of the political section were analyzed . Through an observation sheet, the form, content and typology of the lead were studied. The results showed that the lead has not undergone many modifications and was able to determine that the editors choose to answer only three to four classic questions and that the tendency is for the first paragraph to have an extension of 31 to 40 words, using more the lead of compendium, which is lighter and easier to compose. In conclusion, the lead fulfills its main objective, which is to condense the most important of the news event, it only has slight changes that adapt to new trends.
