The city of Trujillo is located in an area of high seismicity (zone 4), the majority of which are informal constructions using bricks of very low resistance and durability, for this reason it is necessary to evaluate the quality control of the bricks in formal companies and by For this reason, King Kong type 18 industrial hollow ceramic bricks were chosen because the RNE E.070 standard mentions that the ceramic brick must comply with its resistance and weight according to its category; As well, it must be manipulated with one hand and also because it is the most used in the construction industry and to withstand humidity, another quality is that it allows us to eliminate external noise from one environment to another up to 70% and resists high temperatures and also establishes parameters for zone 4 according to the seismic zoning map, which should be used industrial solid bricks for bearing walls greater than four floors considering a type of solid or solid brick fulfilling as a maximum limit a percentage of voids no greater than 30%. The present research aims to evaluate the quality control of King Kong type 18 hollow bricks on their properties such as compression, dimensional variation, warping, percentage of voids, absorption, porosity, specific weight, efflorescence, pH and conductivity for which it was reported 400 results, the masonry units are made up of 8 brick kiln brands such as Fortes, Ladinorte, Lark, Clasa, Itali, Pirámide, Lambayeque and Huanchaco. The research design is non-experimental, being the type of descriptive cross-sectional design, having as particularities of one or more variables in a population. The results show that the “Pyramid” brand has more optimal values with a compressive strength of 197 kg / cm² and complying with the dimensional variation 1% in length, 1% in width, 0% in height, an average warpage of 1 mm concavity and 0 mm convexity not exceeding the 2 mm indicated by the RNE E.070 and in the absorption test it meets all the marks due to variations from 10% to 15%, in terms of the percentage of voids it does not meet any of the marks because the E070 standard limits us a maximum of 30% of voids, in terms of suction it meets the Lark and Itali brands for having 12 and 14 g / cm² / min; However, the density test meets all the marks because it is above 1.70 g / cm³ according to the NTP 331.017 (2015). The Fortes brand is considered non-blooming because it has an intensity of less than 5%, considering it as thin veil and be resistant to shock; Also, the chemical quality of the bricks was evaluated, which the Huanchaco brickyard does not comply with because it contains 2.42 (dS / m) of salts and 5.57 of pH.
