The general objective of the present investigation was to determine the impact of the proposed improvement in the management of the operating costs of the warehouse of the company Brayan's Car Factory. It was possible to reduce the operating costs of the warehouse of the company Brayan's Car Factory by 58.7% already that the loss was reduced from S /. 175,858.90 to S /. 72,613.60. In the diagnosis carried out, it was determined that the causes of high operating costs are: the lack of stock management, the lack of supplier management, the lack of training in logistics issues, the lack of a logistics procedure and the lack of order and cleaning in the warehouse. It is worth mentioning that these causes generated an annual loss of S /. 175,858.90. To solve these identified root causes, the following Engineering tools were applied: Inventory management, Supplier management, Training plan for the logistics and warehouse area, development of a logistics procedure and the 5S Methodology, generating an annual saving of S /. 103,245.30. Finally, an economic and financial evaluation of the improvement proposal was carried out in a period of 2 years, determining that the proposal is PROFITABLE since a positive NPV of S /. 43,904.00, an IRR of 86.1%, a B / C of 1.36 and a payback period of the investment (PRI) of 12.5 months.
