The objective of the research was to analyze how the conciliation hearing affects the principles of speed and procedural economy in the ordinary labor process in the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad, 2017-2019. The research was of a basic type with a qualitative - descriptive and cross-sectional nonexperimental design approach: the sample is composed of 30 minutes of conciliation hearing processed in the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad between 2017 and 2019, as well as, by 8 judges of the labor courts of the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad and 3 lawyers of the city of Trujillo, which was determined by non-probabilistic sampling at the convenience of the author, due to the availability and time of the researcher. The result was that the ineffectiveness of the conciliation hearing significantly violates the principles of speed and procedural economy in the ordinary labor process in the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad, 2017-2019, since it entails the delay of the process, increase of the procedural burden and the breach of the effective jurisdictional protection, which makes impossible the solution of the conflict.
