ABSTRACT Due to the changes and improvements that are continuously occurring in companies, it is not enough to be effective and accomplish what is requested, nor be efficient and use resources in the best way. We must be effective and maximize the work planned with the less possible resources. This investigation focuses on making the process of equipment and machinery requirement more efficient in the SSK Engineering and Construction Company for the Ilo Acid Plant project. To achieve this, the implementation of the CARE system was set as an objective and by giving it to a good use, it will help to gather information from previous projects. This will allow us to measure times and levels of attention that have been obtained to find breakpoints in the process and optimize them by doing it, not only effective, but also efficient for the plan to be made in the Ilo project. Subsequently, the results, of the accomplished in Ilo, were compared with the indicators obtained from previous projects to analyze the improvement and the correct functioning of the processes. In conclusion, the proposal for improvement allows the requests for equipment and machinery to be attended on time, less expenses are being generated for man-hours not worked and an evaluation showed improvement in equipment area projects. Also, a standardized process was proposed to be able to execute it in later projects.
