ABSTRACT Through this research work has been designed the process of planning and programming of the CAT 793C truck fleet within a mining company in order to increase its maintainability, for it has been made the calculation and subsequent analysis of maintainability considering a restrictive time for each repair of 31.22 hours, obtaining a probability of 66.04%. Other management variables have been considered, such as the level of work pending execution in the system or backlog, the level of skills of the technical personnel, as well as the estimation of the times for each maintenance task according to their priority level of the work orders, based on these results, it was possible to establish alternative solutions to design the planning and programming process within the mine maintenance area, focusing on three actions such as: The development of an electronic Gantt chart, the training process of the personnel and the implementation of management indicators. The research design used was of a non-experimental descriptive nature, the variables of the population were defined as each of the mining trucks, posing the hypothesis that the design of the planning and programming process will increase the maintainability of the truck fleet and consequently the increase of its operative availability using for it the methods of direct observation, the revision of the procedures and the analytical method focused in the methodologies of the management of industrial maintenance.
