The problem to be dealt are the high costs of inputs, and when and how much to request from these inputs so that there is no risk of shortages. To do this, an ABC classification is first carried out i n order to know which products are more economically important and to prepare a forecast of the demand for the following year, with this a Production Master Program (PMP) was carried out, to the elaborate a Requirement Planing of Materials (MRP), with the application of these tools ensures the decrease of the stock of security and reorden point. Finally, it proposes Explosives management policy and internal policies that guarantee the application of these tools for the future. In this way it is expected to ensure the timely supply of supplies for the blasting process, without incurring high costs. The present work is focused on reducing the costs of blasting inputs of the Tantahuatay Mining Project of the Coimolache Company for this, tools were applied in inventory management, such as the ABC classification, MRP, Explosives Management Policy and the policy approach in orden to ensure its application in the mean time. The inventory data of 08 months from January to August of 2017 were analyzed, elaborating the MRP was obtained for the same period of 08 months (January to August) of the year 2018, an estimated saving of US $ 219,580.94 that impact on the cost of broken tons. With this we conclude that our proposed improvement in Inventory Management decreases the costs of inputs for the production of broken tons. Finally, it is recommended not only the application of the proposed improvement proposal but also the study and the subsequent application of the MRP II tool, as a result of the present study.
